Studio policies & guidelines

Closing Dates
Dance Studio No. 1 closes to observe Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Memorial Day. Please call the Studio for exact closing dates.

Attendance, Absences and Make-Ups

  • There are no credits or refunds for missed classes.
  • Missed classes can be made up within the session of the missed class, with a maximum of 2 make up classes per session.
  • Make up classes can only be scheduled in classes where there is space available.
  • Please contact the Studio to schedule a make up class.
Rules & Code of Conduct
  • Please show respect for the discipline of dance by ensuring you are on time, appropriately dressed, warmed up and prepared for the beginning of class.
  • Parents and visitors are welcome to observe classes through viewing windows.
  • Our Studio is a place of learning – please, there is to be no running around or disrupting classes.
  • Please do not enter the studio spaces unless you are about to attend a class in that space.
  • No food or drinks (except water) are permitted inside the studio spaces.
  • Cell phones should be turned off during class time.
  • No chewing gum.
Studio Regulations
  • We reserve the right to change the schedule and/or teacher as necessary.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • We are not responsible for students leaving the facility without proper accompaniment.
  • Parents/Guardians of younger students: please do not leave the premises while your child is in class.
  • The risk of injury exists in any physical activity. We cannot be held responsible for personal injury.
  • By signing the registration form, you have given permission to use class or performance photographs for the marketing of Dance Studio No. 1. Please let us know if you object to this policy. Taking photos or videos during class time is very distracting and thus must be limited to observation days or recitals only.
  • Dance Studio No. 1 reserves the right to dismiss or refuse classes to anyone who does not comply with these rules or who otherwise in our judgment disrupts the harmony and reputation of our Studio.
