Young Children’s Program Dress Code
Tu-tu Dance & Expressercise: (GIRLS) Pink leotard with sewn on skirt, pink socks, pink leather full sole ballet shoes with elastic straps. (BOYS) White short-sleeved leotard, light blue shorts, white socks, white leather full sole ballet shoes.
Pre-Ballet: (GIRLS) White leotard with sewn on skirt, pink socks, pink leather full sole ballet shoes with elastic straps. (BOYS) White short-sleeved leotard, light blue shorts, white socks, white leather full sole ballet shoes.
Ballet Program Dress Code
FEMALE
Pre-Primary: Pink short-sleeved leotard, pink R.A.D. approved skirt, pink socks
Primary: White short-sleeved leotard, white R.A.D. approved skirt, pink socks
Grade 1: Pink short-sleeved leotard, pink tights
Grade 2: White short-sleeved leotard, pink tights
Grade 3: Light blue tank leotard, pink tights
Grade 4: Orchid tank leotard, pink tights
Grade 5: Mulberry tank leotard, pink tights
Grade 6: Navy tank leotard, pink tights
Grade 7: Forest tank leotard, pink tights
Grade 8: Black tank leotard, pink tights
Vocational Grades: Black tank or spaghetti strap leotard, pink tights, pointe shoes
Please note, to keep in line with
R.A.D. dress code regulation changes, the Primary dress code will be
changing for the 2010-2011 school year.
Shoes - All female dancers from Pre-Primary to Grade 5 are to wear pink leather full sole ballet shoes with elastic straps. Grade 6 to Intermediate Foundation should have ribbons on their leather ballet shoes. Intermediate to Advanced 2 are required to wear demi-pointe shoes instead of leather.
Belts - Grades 1 through all Vocational levels require an R.A.D. approved belt (same color as leotard).
Free Movement Skirts – Grade 6 to 8 require a long chiffon free movement skirt (same color as leotard).
Character Wear - Grade 1 to 8 require a black R.A.D. approved character skirt, and black character shoes.
MALE
White short sleeved leotard, navy blue shorts (Pre-Primary, Primary), black shorts (Ballet 1 & 2), black or white tights (Ballet 3 through Vocational Grades), white socks, white leather full sole ballet shoes. Grades 1 and up are required black character shoes.
Hair & Accessories Guidelines for the Classical Ballet Program classes:
- Short hair must be secured back from the face; long hair must be in a bun (female).
- No jewelry (watches and small stud earrings accepted)
- No T-Shirts, sweatpants, shorts or outerwear
